About Tavia
Art Educator
Tavia has a BA in Art Education from Brigham Young University, where she studied under Michael Day, former president of the National Art Education Association. She has worked as an elementary art specialist at a private school for gifted children as well as through her local Parks and Recreation department.
Graduate Student
She is currently pursuing her M.Ed. in Elementary Education through American College of Education.
Mother of Four
Tavia has been a stay-at-home parent for the past 15 years. She has two girls and two boys ages 5-16. She finds that parenting is a humbling endeavor and her greatest stimulus for personal growth. She loves sharing the joy of creating with her children.
Favorite Things
Tavia also enjoys photography, her three cats, lifting weights, swimming, baking, cake decorating, attending live theater, BBC murder mysteries, days at the lake, ballroom dancing with her husband, and snuggling with her family.
